Big days, close calls, endurance records and mountain adventures told by the people who were there. These are stories from Idaho climbers about the days that didn't necessarily go according to plan.
Each year, climbing magazines publish stories about mountain “epics.” After reading and hearing about similar experiences much closer to home, I thought it would be interesting to collect stories from people right here in Idaho. Several climbers have shared their experiences, from record-setting days in the Lost River Range to serious accidents and unforgettable adventures in Idaho's mountains.
